Heineken Regatta

The Heineken Regatta celebrates it’s 42nd birthday in 2022. If previous years are anything to go by, this will be an unforgettable regatta.

22 Feb — 08 Mar 2022
Antigua - St Maarten — Antigua
£1500 (Per Berth)

After an amazing day of sailing the participants will be able to enjoy great, local food and enjoy an ice-cold Heineken, with their feet in the sand, while listening to local, regional and international artists!

The St Maarten Heineken Regatta rates highly on the Caribbean regatta bucket list. This regatta is slightly shorter than most on the circuit, allowing you to make the most out of your annual leave allowance!

The Boat

Telefonica Black is a stripped out racing boat with very few luxuries, so please expect high side hot bunking, freeze dried food – as the galley consists of a sink and 1 camping stove for boiling water and a very exciting gimbled heads!

We like to be fully inclusive and give amateur sailors the chance to participate in all aspects of sailing the boat – we can assure you; you will not just be sitting on the rail.

The Course - Heineken Regatta, St. Maarten

Sailors are offered a mixture of races with a combination of windward-leeward and coastal races blended together into an irresistible cocktail of racing chosen to suit each class.

As the all-out racing monohulls savor the prospect of eight races over four days with windward-leeward races on two days and two longer coastal races testing both boat handling and tactics.

Maxis and Multihulls have their own race areas to stretch their legs with races suited to their sailing styles: an emphasis on coastal races with fewer windward legs for cruising-style multihulls and longer, more challenging races for Performance Multihulls and Maxis.
